Commercial Construction Superintendent

Role and Responsibilities

  • Develop Progress Schedule with Project Manager
  • Generate, obtain, and confirm all information needed to create Schedule
  • Participate in bid/scope review
  • Organize site utility/services, security with Project Manager
  • Identify field-construction and work sequence when finalizing bids
  • Monitor Actual vs. Required performance by all parties
  • Monitor performance to maintain schedule
  • Direct company field staff
  • Understand general contract changes/conflicts
  • Prepare Daily Reports and all other on-site documentation
  • Conduct Safety Meetings/Tailgate Talks weekly
  • Document site with photographs daily
  • Enforce regulations (safety/Legal)
  • Communicate with all trades on and off site
  • Attend/preside over weekly Subcontractor’s Meetings
  • Issue Notices of Non-Compliance to Subcontractors in regard to quality of work or General Non-Compliance
  • Ensure Job site is always clean & organized
  • Perform all Job Progress and Completion Punch Lists. Identify and complete
  • Assist in budgeting and awarding contracts
  • Assist on obtaining permits
  • Open and Close the job site daily, securing the perimeter
  • Place orders for materials and equipment as needed

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • 5 years construction supervision experience
  • High school diploma
  • College degree preferred

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answer/Screen all calls, and be able to dispatch calls to the correct employee
